When I set out to make a record the way they used to be made on analog equipment recorded to tape, I really didn’t know what I was in for. It was a learning process and a gamble. It took 4 years to finish the record and then several more years to create this film. Most of the time I could not see the finish line…it was like being out in the desert trying different types of rain dances…to see what worked…ha ha ha. Recording to tape is a very different experience than recording digitally.To me the result leaves you with more feeling in the music and I like that.

In this presentation, JoLynn will take us deeper into the tarot card deck by looking at the energies of action, activity and movement, along with the opposing energies of stillness, non-activity, and lack of movement. She will also explore the 2 sides of each of those energies. This will be done by showing us both the positive and negative aspects of movement, as well as the positive and negative aspects of stillness. We will be shown examples to help see deeper into the never-ending layers that tarot cards reveal when we are open to their messages. MALA CLASS — Saturday, May 4 th, 9-11 am. A mala is a string of beads traditionally used to count mantras (prayers) while meditating. Malas can also be worn as a necklace or bracelet. This class will incorporate wooden beads, charms, base metal spacer beads and be strung on elastic. We will talk about infusing our beads with mantras and intentions.
